A striking vintage set of eight Spanish porcelain plates produced by Bidasoa and decorated with expressive black bullfighting drawings by noted Spanish painter and illustrator Antonio Casero Sanz (1897–1973).

Each plate presents a different scene from the Spanish tauromachic tradition, including matadors, picadors, mounted riders, horses and bulls. Casero’s energetic, pen-like linework captures the movement and theatrical drama of the bullring, while the monochromatic black-and-white palette gives the collection a crisp, graphic quality that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The plates are marked on the reverse “BIDASOA / dibujo / Antonio Casero,” identifying the Spanish porcelain manufacturer and the artist responsible for the original designs.

This complete set makes a dramatic wall installation when arranged together, while each plate is equally compelling as an individual decorative object. An excellent addition to a Spanish Colonial, Mediterranean, equestrian or European-inspired interior.
