Vintage Chinese carved cinnabar lacquered box.
The lid showcases an intricately detailed relief landscape with cranes, trees and a traditional pavilion.
The sides are carved in a traditional Leiwen pattern. Similar to a Greek Key
The base has a light symmetrical carving resembling scrolling ribbons, clouds, a dragon and fowl.
Trimmed in brass, there is a flush-mount piano-style hinge on the back.
The interior is lacquered black.
The box sits on a footed platform.
The box measures approximately 9"W x 5.5"D x 1.5"H
The platform measures approximately 9.25"W x 6"D x 1/2"H
