Beautiful antique sterling silver hand mirror by R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. of Wallingford, Connecticut, dating to the turn of the 20th century.
The sterling frame features an elegant Art Nouveau floral and scrolling design, with the flowing organic lines characteristic of the period. The reverse bears the distinctive Wallace deer-head hallmark and is additionally marked STERLING, PAT. APPLIED FOR, and No. 5000.
The original beveled mirror remains intact and the sterling retains a lovely aged patina that highlights the raised decoration. Unmonogrammed.
A beautiful example of early American sterling silver craftsmanship, equally suited to a collection or displayed on a vanity, dressing table, or layered into an antique interior.
