Each plate is individually formed from black earthenware and finished with the atelier’s signature luminous white glaze, creating the subtle variations and artisanal character for which Astier de Villatte is renowned. The Adélaïde collection draws inspiration from 18th-century French decorative arts, featuring an ornate scalloped rim with delicately molded raised ornamentation that frames the plate beautifully. Every piece is handmade, making slight irregularities in shape and glaze a desirable hallmark of the craftsmanship. Each plate bears the impressed Astier de Villatte workshop monogram and artisan’s mark on the reverse. See less
