Early 20th century French brass picture frame with elaborate scrolling filigree and shell crest decoration. Substantial in weight and unusually large in scale, this elegant frame features an easel back for tabletop display as well as wall mounting capability. Retaining a sepia portrait photograph and impressed mark to the reverse, it offers classic Belle Époque styling with richly detailed openwork casting. Impressed foundry numerical mark on back.
