It showcases Maitland-Smith's signature use of exotic materials, featuring an intricate mosaic inlay of sectioned coconut shell, nuts, or stylized shell veneer. I don’t know what this one is, but it’s black with a lacy looking gold design. The dark brown and golden-tan tones create a highly sought-after natural contrast. It is capped with a detailed, classic brass finial handle centered on top of the domed lid, which is a hallmark feature of high-end vintage Maitland-Smith tabletop accessories. See less
