Empire Period Portico Clock
French work, circa 1800.
The clock is in the form of a portico framed by two columns adorned with antique Egyptian heads.
The dial is surrounded by laurel garlands and surmounted by the imperial eagle.
Egyptian Revival style.
The base rests on four chased bronze toupie feet.
Dimensions: 40 x 23 x 12 cm.
The clock is in working order.
One hand is missing from the dial.
Comes with its key and a replacement pendulum.
