This stunning Set of 8 Plates is made out of porcelain. This gorgeous set is decorated with various wildlife motifs framed by gold colored details on the trim; the large platter features grazing deer while the plates present designs of various game animals including 1 with rabbits, 1 with deer, 1 with woodcocks, and then 2 plates with pheasants and 2 with partridges. This cozy set of 8 includes 1 platter and 7 dining plates. The dining plates are all the same size and make for perfect serve ware / dinnerware to make a statement! With the matching platter this beautifully versatile set will surely add vintage elegance to your table and / or porcelain collection. The bottom of each plate is stamped on the bottom with "J.S. Germany", see pictures, confirming this set was made by Joseph Schachtel between 1896 and 1919.
