Antique Allertons Ltd Blue Willow 10" Dinner Plate Smooth Edge Crown Stamp
Made in Staffordshire England 1926
Approx. 1 ¼" High x 10" Diameter.
Beautiful, single antique Blue Willow 10-inch dinner plate manufactured by Allertons Ltd at the Park Works factory in Longton, Staffordshire, England.
Features an incised crown and the number 26 pressed directly into the underside of the pottery, precisely dating its manufacture to 1926.
It also features the authentic printed Allertons Crown back stamp on the reverse.
While most Allertons plates from this mid-1920s era were produced with a scalloped edge, this piece features a scarcer smooth rim profile.
The cobalt blue transferware design is deep, flowing, and vibrant, showcasing the iconic classic Blue Willow pattern.
This plate is in good, structurally sound vintage condition with no chips, cracks, flea bites, hairlines, or repairs ;The surface retains a strong shine with only minimal, faint utensil marks consistent with display or light use. Consistent with its 100-year age, there is a small area of slight brown discoloration on the inside edge of the plate, along with very light, clean vintage crazing in the clear glaze.
