Set of 6 Vintage Allertons Ltd Blue Willow 10" Dinner Plates
Made in Staffordshire England c. 1929-1942
Each Approx. 1 ¼" High x 10" Diameter.
Matching set of six vintage Blue Willow 10-inch dinner plates manufactured by Allertons Ltd at the Park Works factory in Longton, Staffordshire, England.
Each plate features a clear, stamped manufacturing date code on the base reading 7 over 37, precisely dating this set's production to July 1937. This places their production during the coronation year of King George VI, and just five years before the factory permanently closed during World War II. They feature the authentic Allertons laurel wreath back stamp on the reverse.
The cobalt blue transferware design is incredibly rich, deep, and vibrant, showcasing the iconic, classic Blue Willow pattern with a smooth rim profile.
Excellent vintage condition and has been meticulously cared for over the decades.
No chips or repairs. The glaze is pristine and free from the typical dark brown age-staining often found on 1930s pottery. The surface retains a brilliant shine with only negligible, faint utensil marks consistent with light display or occasional use. There is only very minimal, clean vintage crazing. And one has slight bottom hairline cracks. Normal wear from use and age.
