About Limoges Coronet
Limoges has been synonymous with fine porcelain since the late 18th century, when deposits of high-quality kaolin clay were discovered near Limoges, France. Rather than being a single manufacturer, "Limoges" refers to porcelain produced in the Limoges region, where numerous factories created blanks that were decorated by specialized studios and artists.
The Coronet mark was used by an exporter and decorating company during the early 20th century, producing elegant porcelain for the American market. Many Coronet pieces feature hand-painted landscapes, florals, wildlife, and elaborate gilded borders, making them popular with collectors today.
