An exceptionally refined "Morandiana (V)" art glass bottle designed by Gio Ponti for Venini in the 1950s, exemplifying the architect-designer's celebrated exploration of pure geometric form and harmonious colour. The composition features a bulbous bottle with an elongated cylindrical neck in deep emerald green glass, anchored by a striking band of opaque cobalt blue cased over a pale opaline blue base. The original matching stopper, with its sculptural capsule-shaped finial and clear glass collar, completes the elegant silhouette. The restrained palette and balanced proportions evoke the quiet, contemplative still-life paintings of Giorgio Morandi, from which the series takes its name. Ponti's Morandiana collection represents one of the most sophisticated collaborations between modern Italian design and Murano glassmaking, combining Venini's extraordinary technical mastery with Ponti's unmistakable architectural sensibility. Equally compelling as a standalone sculptural object or displayed as part of a grouped composition, the bottle embodies the timeless elegance of mid-century Italian design. A highly collectible example of post-war Murano glass by one of Italy's most influential designers. Acid stamped mark underneath. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
