This translucent, milky pink style is often classified as opaline or alabastro glass. Renowned Murano designers and furnaces like Archimede Seguso, Seguso Vetri d'Arte, and Cenedese regularly crafted smooth, biomorphic, and organic shell-shaped dishware in this exact coloration during the 1950s and 1960s. Pink is notoriously the hardest color to produce in a kiln. This is an unmarked piece of Murano because of the color and technique: alabastro, the weight, and the finish; the highly polished bottom.
