This appears to be a sewer tile, end of day sculpture, possibly by a craftsman that worked in a pottery factory producing utilitarian wares. The clay itself is a very groggy body and shaped in what could best be described as a pig or other beast, based on similar forms we found while researching. The sculpture has a decidedly folk art quality and a whole lot of charm! Unique and wonderful.
