Up for sale a vintage Minton Neoclassical style dinner service for 9 including serving pieces in the "Consort" pattern with … Read more Up for sale a vintage Minton Neoclassical style dinner service for 9 including serving pieces in the "Consort" pattern with a total of 43 pieces: nine 10.75" dinner plates, nine 8" salad plates, nine 6.5" bread and butter plates, plus a 3 piece tea set consisting of an oval shaped teapot, oval shaped creamer and an oval shaped lidded sugar bowl, 9 cups and saucers, 1 oval gravy boat with 1 unattached oval underplate, one 8.25" x 11" oval serving bowl and one 10.5" x 13.5" platter. "Consort" is a neoclassical style pattern done in navy blue, a lighter shade of blue and gilding. The plate border consists of a gilded edge followed by a navy blue scalloped band with gilded accents of beading and stylized flowers. Below each scallop is a lighter blue petal blossom with leaves ending a bell flower drop. The bell flower is a common motif is neoclassical decorative arts. This Minton "Consort" service for 9 consisting of 43 pieces in total is in good vintage condition with normal signs of age, wear and use. See less
