Empire period portico clock,
French work, circa 1800.
The clock is in the form of a portico framed by two columns decorated with antique Egyptian heads.
The dial is surrounded by laurel garlands and surmounted by the imperial eagle in the
Egyptian Revival style
. The base rests on four chased bronze toupie feet.
Dimensions: 40 x 23 x 12 cm.
The clock is in working order.
One hand is missing from the dial.
Comes with its key and a replacement pendulum.
