A mesmerizing mid-century musical vanity box designed by Fred Zimbalist. Crafted in the distinctive form of a scalloped clam shell, this substantial footed jewelry chest showcases the high-quality craftsmanship of 1950s hand-chased silverwork.
Design & Attributes
The box is entirely adorned with intricate, hand-tooled floral scrolls, trailing vines, and foliate detailing undulating down each scalloped groove. Raised on stylized decorative feet, it features a heavy-weighted construction. When unlatched, the hinged lid opens to reveal space for small keepsakes, rings, or trinkets.
