The broad, rectangular surface area (carved to a bullnose edge) is an impressive single plank, whose handsome walnut grain is smooth and appropriately aged by time and use. A rather primitive lyre base features splayed legs bridged with wrought iron stretchers gently twisted for decorative interest and pinned with a bolt for security. The unusual size becomes a comfortable height for a coffee table or other side/end table functions, imparting historic taste to any room. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready to join your interior. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
