An elegant and large scale French writing table or executive bureau plat desk of ebonized mahogany with gilt accents in the Louis XVI style.
Featuring an ebonized rectangular top with an inset embossed and richly patinated cognac leather writing surface, over a frieze showing one central drawer flanked by four smaller drawers, the drawers with brass chevron escutcheons.
Pull-out leather-topped writing surfaces on each end.
Resting on tapered legs with ormolu detailing and brass cap feet.
Overall dimensions: H 30 1/2 inches x W 62 3/4 inches x D 35 1/4 inches
Leg clearance: 24 1/2 inches
