The bottle features a hand-gilded, multi-colored heraldic crest topped with a golden crown. A decorative scroll banner weaves behind the crest, framing the bold "PINOT NOIR" lettering across the middle.Historical Purpose: Known as a demijohn (or dame-jeanne in French), these large, bulbous glass vessels were traditionally used throughout Europe for fermenting, bulk storing, and transporting wines and spirits.
