brand jaeger the company was founded by edmond jaeger (1858–1922), a parisian watchmaker who, beginning in 1903, collaborated with the swiss manufacturer lecoultre on the production of ultra-thin movements; the two companies merged in 1937 to form jaeger-lecoultre. Under the jaeger brand alone, table and travel clocks with swiss movements were sold in france; production continued under this name even after the merger.
model travel alarm clock, hand-wound mechanical movement with a 2-day power reserve; alarm function with separate winding mechanism. The open front cover folds downward to form the slanted support stand.
specifications rectangular folding case with rounded corners in burnished brass; dial with arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and geometric triangle hour markers at the intermediate hours; copper-plated brass hands; inscriptions on the dial: jaeger / ? / swiss. On the back: two winding crowns marked 'alarm' and 'mouv.'; alarm button on the top.
