Designed by contemporary glass artist George Bucquet, this sculptural winged bowl beautifully blends art and function. The thick, hand-cast translucent glass vessel rests gracefully within a curved hardwood base that has been hand lacquered in metallic copper finish, creating a striking balance of organic form and modern design. Crafted circa 2005, the piece showcases Bucquet's signature mastery of hot-cast glass, resulting in a luminous centerpiece that is equally compelling as a functional bowl or standalone work of art
George began casting glass at Penland School in 1984 and has since been exhibited world-wide and in several permanent collections from the Asheville Museum of Art to the White House.
