A beautiful pair of Late 19th Century American Eastlake Victorian side chairs, circa 1890, showcasing the craftsmanship and decorative artistry of the Victorian era. Crafted in rich walnut, these antique parlor chairs feature exquisite hand-carved details, including intricate scrolling, turned front legs, burl walnut accents, and beautifully carved wood panels.
Designed for both elegance and comfort, these chairs retain their traditional upholstered construction with spring-supported seats featuring four interior springs for added cushion and support. The seats are finished in luxurious crushed red velvet upholstery, complementing the warm brown tones of the walnut frames and adding a sophisticated Victorian accent.
The front legs are fitted with original-style porcelain and steel casters, a common feature on Victorian parlor furniture that allowed chairs to be easily repositioned by lifting the back legs and rolling them forward. The combination of decorative carving, quality walnut construction, and traditional upholstery makes this pair a wonderful example of American Eastlake Victorian furniture.
Perfect for a historic home, Victorian-inspired interior, antique collection, or as statement accent seating in a refined living space.
