Low, wide stoneware bowl with a finely ribbed surface in a regular horizontal relief, characteristic of Axel Salto’s geometric-organic approach. The ribbed style is one of Salto’s three characteristic styles. Finished in subdued earthy glazes with nuanced green, brown and golden tones that enhance the texture and give the bowl a rich, tactile presence. Origin: Denmark. Designer: Axel Salto (1889–1961). Material: Stoneware. Dimensions: H. 7 cm, D. 20 cm. Period: Mid-20th century. Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
