Authentic vintage Maitland-Smith pair of cast bronze cherub candlestick holders, handcrafted in Thailand and retaining their original Maitland-Smith foil labels and green felt bottoms. Each candlestick features a winged putto supporting a bark-textured stem topped with an ornate Gothic-inspired candle cup, all resting on a richly decorated polygonal base. The deep bronze patina has developed attractive natural verdigris over time, enhancing their sculptural character without diminishing their elegance. A scarce figural design that is seldom encountered, these candlesticks make a striking addition to Traditional, European, Hollywood Regency, Gothic Revival, or Old World interiors.
