Set of six wonderful and rare antique 19th-century ironstone dinner plates, signed Onnaing, decorated with birds.
The Onnaing factory, founded in northern France in the 19th century, was renowned for the quality of its ironstone and slipware. Production ceased in 1938.
Charming naturalistic decoration depicting birds perched amidst branches, flowers, and foliage.
Several different designs appear on each plate.
The set is enhanced by a floral frieze on the rim of each plate.
The glaze has a soft and sublime patina that gives these antique plates their unique charm.
Perfect for a chic and authentic country table setting or as wall decorations, for example.
They are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. Signs of age.
