A Victorian Majolica teapot, circa 1890, featuring classic Aesthetic Movement faux-bamboo detailing. The body is styled as bound bamboo shoots in a honey-amber glaze, decorated on both sides with a high-relief songbird perched among foliage.
Designed with textured faux-bamboo detailing on the spout, handle, and lid finial, the teapot rests on four feet. The interior reveals a high-gloss lavender/pink glaze—a hallmark of late 19th-century Victorian Majolica production.
It is in excellent vintage/antique condition showing light, age-appropriate glaze crazing consistent with Majolica earthenware. Free of cracks or chips.
