The slightly curved lattice backrest … Read more A simple late Victorian child’s chair by William Birch for Liberty of London in beech. The slightly curved lattice backrest flairs ever so slightly and runs below the edge of the comfortable rush seat to the lower support. The seat is raised on turned tapering legs united with double stretchers to the front and sides. In excellent condition with original rush seat with no repairs or movements to the joints. Beautifully executed, diminutive in stature with plenty of presence. English, circa 1900. See less
