The beautifully proportioned brass case is richly adorned with vibrant champlevé enamel panels featuring a delicate light green ground accented by intricate gilt decoration. Both the front and rear glass doors open for convenient access to the movement, while the case is crowned by a distinctive rounded finial and rests on four finely cast brass feet, completing its graceful architectural design.
The painted porcelain dial is signed by Bigelow, Kennard & Co., while the high-quality French eight-day spring-driven time and strike movement is signed "Japy Frères / A-1," one of France's most respected clock manufacturers.
