Signed & Made by the Bausch & Lomb Optical Company in New York. It has a Serial Number 35453 with Documented Records Indicating that it Was Made in Approx 1898.

NOTE That Bausch & Lomb Sold Various Assortment of Grades & Models ( Including Different Sizes - Scales ) in their Microscopes Line with Many Different Price Ranges - From the Just the Basic Model to the High End more Elaborate Models. The More Expensive - Upper End Models were Available with An Assortment of "Up Grades" - Attachments & Mechanical - Fine Tuning & Focusing Features Etc. - This Particular Model Falling in to the Latter. This is a Very High Quality - Precision Made Optical Scietific Instrument - Would have Been Very Expensive when Purchased New.

It has 3 Lower Lenses ( 3 Different Magnification Powers ) Mounted on a Rotating Devise that Allows Quick Changes. It Also has 3 Focus Adjustments -Finger Slide at the Top Viewing Lens Cylinder - Double Side Wheels for the Main - Center Cylinder, and and 1 Wheel on the Base Mounted Riser for Ultra Fine Tuning the Focus. It Also has Very Elaborate & Fine Tuning Mechanical Glass Specimen Slide Holder Attachment as Well as a Adjustable Light Magnification Device Mounted on the Underside - Between the Viewing Platform and its Original Double Sided Mirrored Glass Light Reflectors ( One Flat and One Slightly Concave ).

I have Every Reason to Believe that it is Still Functional. It is in Excellent All Original Cosmetic Condition - Nice Aged Patina and Color to the Brass - Displays Beautifully!. No Damage - No Repairs. NOTE That it is Quite Heavy Weighing Approx. 9 1/2 Pounds.
