The set includes two … Read more An exceptionally rare set of twelve mid-century dining chairs designed by Paul McCobb for Lane Furniture. The set includes two armchairs with sculpted rosewood arms and ten matching armless side chairs.

Each chair features its original black lacquer finish, slender chrome frame, black upholstered seat, and warm woven cane back. The combination of rosewood, cane, lacquer, and chrome gives the set a refined architectural look characteristic of McCobb’s modernist designs.

All twelve chairs are marked “Lane, Alta Vista Furniture Co.” The cane is in good condition with no breaks. The chairs show age-appropriate wear, including light wear to the black lacquer, wood, and chrome. The rosewood arms also show minor wear consistent with use.

It is extremely difficult to find this design in such a large and complete set, particularly with ten side chairs and two matching armchairs.
