A charming set of eight Louis XVI style dining chairs, comprising six side chairs and two armchairs. The frames are painted in a soft, time-worn cream with warm undertones, with carved rosettes at the corner blocks, molded arched backs, and tapering fluted legs ending in arrow feet. The armchairs have scrolled, fluted arms and removable seat cushions.
All eight are upholstered in a cream ground fabric printed with trailing vines, peonies, and small blossoms in coral, gold, slate blue, and green, set between fine red stripes. The upholstery shows wear and can be enjoyed as is for a relaxed, collected look or recovered to suit your room.
A full set with a matching pair of armchairs is a lovely find for a dining room or breakfast room.
Side chairs (6): approx. 36.5" H x 19" W x 17" D, seat height 19".
Armchairs (2): approx. 37" H x 25" W x 21" D, seat height 20".
