Franco Vattolo designed the 'Solaris' chair for Ibisco in the 1970s as the seating counterpart to his patchwork leather tables — same tailor's instinct for stitched hide, applied here to a seat built saddle-style: leather pulled taut and cinched at the seams the way a saddle is constructed, wrapped around a solid walnut frame. The black leather gives it a structured, equestrian edge against the warmth of the wood.
Set of (4). Sturdy, comfortable, and ready for daily use — the kind of chairs that only look better with more years on them.
Excellent vintage condition throughout. Designed by Franco Vattolo for Ibisco. Made in Italy, 1970s.
