Executed in rich cobalt blue glass, it is decorated with hand-painted white enamel flowers featuring textured gilt centres, flowing white stems, and extensive fire-gilded leaves with engraved veining. A polished pontil base, together with the heavily gilded rim and foot, reflects traditional Bohemian decorative glassmaking techniques.


The decoration represents a continuation of nineteenth-century Bohemian enamel and gilding traditions adapted for the late twentieth-century export market. Although unmarked, the blown construction, polished pontil, cobalt glass, and characteristic enamel-and-gilt floral decoration support attribution to a Czech glasshouse. The substantial cabinet-sized form offers strong display appeal for collectors of Bohemian art glass and traditional European decorative arts.
