Beautiful vintage hand-forged wrought iron lantern featuring a large removable blue opalescent hand-blown art glass bowl with an elegant spiral optic design. The glass has a soft blue opalescent glow.
The lantern is constructed of heavy hand-forged iron with decorative scrollwork, riveted construction, and forged floral accents. It stands just over 12 inches tall.
The original metal canopy remains with the piece and shows age-related corrosion and losses around the perimeter, consistent with long-term outdoor exposure. The opalescent glass bowl is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks observed.
This piece is not electrified. Whether it originally housed a candle, oil lamp, or another lighting source is unknown. It would make a striking decorative centerpiece, garden accent, or architectural display piece.
