Circa 1815, the set beautifully reflects the refined craftsmanship of British furniture produced on the Indian subcontinent during the early nineteenth century.
Each table features a rectangular top framed by a delicate ebony string inlay and reeded edges. The warm reddish-brown Padouk displays striking natural grain and a lustrous patina that has deepened over two centuries.
The tables are supported by paired turned column legs joined by graceful arched stretchers and terminating in elegant platform feet. The proportions are graceful, allowing the four tables to nest seamlessly while presenting an impressive architectural profile when stacked.
