This vintage pair of square back fauteuils were inspired by Directoire and Louis XVI seating. They have square backs, scrolled open arms, tapered legs with gadrooned collars and interlaced ring frieze and would be perfect for a designer makeover.
The beautifully detailed frames and square backs provide an ideal backdrop for introducing endless design possibilities.

- THERE IS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE END OF ONE OF THE ARMS ON ONE CHAIR (see last photo). THEY NEED … moreTHERE IS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE END OF ONE OF THE ARMS ON ONE CHAIR (see last photo). THEY NEED NEW UPHOLSTERY AND PAINT. Great bones and good vintage condition. The frames are heavy and structurally sound. Scratches, dings, scuff marks throughout frame from use. The paint finish is faded on one of the chairs (see photos) so they will need a fresh coat of paint or a refinish. I am happy to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase or to send more photos if needed. less
