Antique German Pewter Tankards, early 19th century. Set of 4.
Highly decorative set of four German jugs or tankards with perfect authentic pewter color and several markings.
These European jugs are all with S-shaped handle, spout, thumb pieces and hinged lid. Most likely made in Germany in the 1800s. All have engravings.
The tall and wide:
14 x 21 x 29 cm. Engraved "FD 1821" on lid. Stamped with a crown and "1811".
Tall and narrow:
13 x 17 x 27 cm. Acorn shaped thumb piece, 1L marking. Eagle stamp on the handle.
Narrow:
12 x 14 x 23.5 cm. Stamp with a knight and "GK"
Small:
7 x 11 x 12 cm. Engraved flower inside on the bottom.
Patina consistent with age and use.
