Antique English Pewter Tankards, 18th century. Set of 4.
Highly decorative set of four English jugs or tankards with perfect authentic pewter color and several markings.
All with handle and hinged lid. Most likely made in England in the 1700s.
The tall:
13.5 x 17.5 x 27 cm. Makers mark on top, front and bottom.
Round bellied:
14 x 17 x 26.5 cm. Engraved flower on inside on the lid. Appears to have been used in a wedding between Sp and MX in 1766.
Flat lid:
13.5 x 22 x 24 cm. No stamp but has more wear than the others. May be from the 1600s. Heavy wear on the spout.
The small:
8 x 12 x 16 cm. A measure with a hammerhead thumb piece. Without markings.
Patina consistent with age and use.
