Antique Swedish Pewter Tankards, 18th century. Set of 3.
Highly decorative set of three Nordic jugs or tankards with perfect authentic pewter color and several markings.
All three have S-shaped handles, pouring spout, hinged lid and a conical body.
Made in Sweden in the 1700s.
The wide with horizontal stripes:
17 x 22 x 27 cm. Engravings inside: "PFW" and eagle
The wide without stripes:
17 x 22 x 26.5 cm. Engravings on lid: 3 crowns and "1738"
The tall:
15.5 x 22 x 30.5 cm. Stamped under bottom with keys, bridge and three towers (this indicates that it probably originates from Denmark). This flagon appears to have been used at a wedding between K and D in 1778.
All with further personal engraving.
Patina consistent with age and use.
