Lalique crystal Coupe Chantilly France. 40. Añois 26.5 cm.
René Jules Lalique (Ay, Marne department, France, April 6, 1860 - Paris, May 1, 1945) was a French master glassmaker and jeweler. He is buried in the Cemetery of the Père-Lachaise.
He had a great appreciation for his original creations of jewelry, perfume bottles, vases, candlesticks, clocks, etc., within modernist style (Art Nouveau and Art Deco). The factory founded still works (is very popular for its perfumes) and Lalique name has been associated with creativity and quality, both as discrete lavish designs.
