From the Early Days of Home Lighting ( Pre Electricity Era ) this is a Very Rare Natural Gas Meter. As the Embossed Brass Labels Indicate - It was Made by the TUFTS BROTHERS IN BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS - MADE FOR 2 LIGHTS for Use by The LOWELL GAS LIGHT COMPANY. It is Completely Hand Made Out of Steel. It is in Very Good Condition and it Displays Well with a Wonderful Authentic Old Look. The Brick Red Color Paint is Very Old with Nice Honest Aged Patina. It would Make a Unique Decorator Item as well as a Historical Conversation Piece.
