This Andy Warhol very rare vintage 1967 Mid Century Modern silkscreen print " Fifth New York Film Festival " custom framed extra large iconic Pop Art poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The silkscreen print poster is published by Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts for List Art Posters - Lincoln Center. Printed in 1967 by Maurel Studios, New York in an unnumbered limited edition of 500 on the occasion of the " Fifth New York Film Festival " at Lincoln Center Philharmonic Hall September 20-30, 1967. It features an iconic Mid Century Modern artwork image created by Andy Warhol, copyright 1967 List Art Foundation. Inc.

Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. His infamous life, art works, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. He is credited as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
The Lincoln Center Poster Collection and The Albert A. List Foundation began a creative program in 1962 of special posters works of art commissioned for festivals and special events at Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts in New York City. The fine art posters have heralded the opening of each theater building at Lincoln Center, and for such festivals as Mostly Mozart, Newport Jazz, and The New York Film Festival.
The Lincoln Center Poster Program has collaborated with the most admired and respected top Contemporary artists of our time collaborating together to create artworks that have become highly desirable and award winning works of art in their own right. Many of the posters have been exhibited internationally and are included in the collections of important museums worldwide. An example of this same Andy Warhol silkscreen poster is held in the archive of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, Tate Gallery London, The Victoria and Albert Museum London, and The National Gallery of Scotland.
When the organizers of The New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center were informed that Andy Warhol was involved in their festival not only as a filmmaker, but also as an attendee, they commissioned him to create an artwork for the fifth edition of this event, held in 1967.

The rare out of print Mid Century Modern extra large format framed silkscreen print Pop Art poster measures 31 1/8" W X 52 1/4" H X 2" D.
It is custom framed and expertly preserved, with UV protective plexiglass archivally presented in a float hinge mounted presentation of a soft white tone acid free conservation matt board, in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black wood recessed box museum style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and some light minor wear. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
