This wine bottle or decanter trolley features two elaborate silver-plated holders on functioning wheels with a long articulated steering handle to guide it across a table. Circa 1865, according to the stamp on the bottom, it was made by Pryor, Tyzack & Co. for Sheffield in England.
The interiors feature beautifully turned hardwood bases (typically mahogany) crafted with a central silver boss keeping the wine bottle centered.
Due to their rare mechanics and historical novelty, intact double wagons from high-quality 19th-century makers like Pryor, Tyzack & Co. are highly collectible pieces of barware today. It is a beautiful display piece , can be used as a centerpiece, but it is also functional. Wine is not included.
