Fortuny fabrics are still hand-printed, as they have been since 1922, at the Giudecca Island factory, where the inner workings and printing techniques remain secret.

Appropriate for upholstery, wallcovering, window treatments, pillows, and other home accessories, this damask pattern was named after Madame de SEVIGNE. It is a 100% cotton base cloth with a metallic surface print. The ID is stamped on the selvage

“The ORSINI family was one of the most famous and influential noble families of medieval Italy and Renaissance Rome. This 17th-century pinecone and medallion motif glorifies the ORSINI’s power and dominance. Densely entangled leaves and vines support large pinecone blossoms and surround intricately designed floral emblems.”
