The art in the middle depicts the traditional symbols of good fortune: pine, bamboo and plum blossoms. Unlike other blue and white designs, this bowl contains a range of blue values and contrasts, which bring out individual and distinct elements. The continuous vine design outside the bowl is described as "old style." See less
