Vintage Italian high-back lounge chair by Vibieffe, styled after Gio Ponti.
A sculptural Italian modernist armchair with a dramatic winged headrest, tall architectural back, softly rounded arms, loose boxed seat cushion, and splayed tapered wood legs. Upholstered in a richly textured mustard-gold fabric that reads warm ochre/camel, the chair has a striking presence while remaining comfortable and inviting.
The proportions are especially elegant: a tall 45” overall height, generous 40” depth, and low 16” seat height give it the feel of a lounge chair, reading chair, or statement accent piece. Excellent vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear only. Upholstery presents beautifully with no visible rips or stains from the photos provided.
