Beautiful hand-painted Imari porcelain bowl with an elegant scalloped rim. The bowl is richly decorated in the characteristic Imari colors: deep cobalt blue, iron red, and green on a bright white background. The decoration consists of grids with floral motifs, pines, crabs, and a central blue floral ornament.
A beautiful eye-catcher, suitable as a fruit bowl, serving bowl, or purely for decoration.

Imari porcelain originated in Japan in the 17th century and was exported to Europe via the port of Imari, where it has been loved for centuries for its rich colors and refined decorations. In the 19th century, it enjoyed great popularity in Europe.
