Their cultural identity is deeply rooted in this region, where they have established their communities and traditions over generations.
The Bunda people predominantly communicate through the Mpuono language, which serves as a linguistic cornerstone of their cultural heritage. As of 1972, an estimated 165,000 individuals were speakers of the Mpuono language, indicating its significant role in facilitating communication and preserving cultural ties within the Bunda community.
