The lower register displays classic Zulu linear and triangular motifs associated with identity, adornment, and ceremonial dress.
Zulu beadwork has long served as a visual language, with colors and patterns communicating social and cultural meaning. Aprons such as this were worn during ceremonies, dances, and important life events.
This example shows beautiful age and hand-worked character, with visible wear and repairs consistent with authentic use.
